Ellamae (Mae) Armado
First-year Medical Student

Ellamae (Mae) Armado is a first-year medical student at Western University's Osteopathic Medicine Program. She is also a 2019 UCSD alumnus from Sixth college and graduated with a degree in biology and a minor in healthcare and social issues. After university and finishing her research, Mae took two gap years and did mission work in the Philippines, worked as an endocrinology scribe, and was a research coordinator for chronic disease drug trials. Her passions in healthcare especially pertain to health justice as she is currently pursuing a dual degree in Osteopathic Medicine and a master's in public health.
Kristian Tan
PharmD
Dr. Kristian Tan is a licensed pharmacist from Long Beach, CA. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from CSU Long Beach in June 2016 and his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the Keck Graduate Institute School of Pharmacy in May 2022. He currently works as the Pharmacy Manager of 986 Pharmacy - Wilmington. As a first generation Filipino American, Dr. Tan has always been involved in his local Filipino community by organizing Pilipino Cultural Nights and providing free health education workshops. In pharmacy school, Dr. Tan held numerous leadership positions at his school's pharmacy organizations. He most notably served as the Student National Pharmaceutical Association's National Board Region V Facilitator and President of KGI's National Community Pharmacists Association. As a pharmacy student leader, he organized numerous health fairs that provided free health screenings to underserved and minority communities throughout Los Angeles County. His primary goal is to become a pharmacy owner that focuses on providing accessible and affordable medications to his local community.

Ami Ikeda
First-year Dental Student

Ami Ikeda is a first-year dental student at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. She graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor of Science in Global Health and completed a Master's in Oral Health Sciences at Boston University. Her research at BU focused on the impact of socioeconomic barriers on the oral health status of refugee communities.
